Engage Conference – An Exciting Opportunity

Wayne Stocks —  In Conferences October 1, 2012

I am excited to officially announce that I will be leading a track at the Engage Conference in Mechanicsburg, PA dedicated to ministering to children of divorce.  The track will include five one-hour interactive workshops covering all aspects of ministering to children of divorce.  I am excited to have this opportunity to speak to others about the need for this type of ministry and how to start ministries in their churches.  I’ve included details about the workshops below.

As though the idea of these workshops are not enough to entice you to come to this conference here is a list of other great reasons to attend:

  1. It is a smaller conference with a specific emphasis on volunteers and drawing complete children’s ministry teams.  This is not a conference designed only for children’s pastors on staff at large churches.
  2. Sue Miller is the keynote speaker and will deliver three separate key note addresses (one on Friday night and two on Saturday).  I can’t wait to learn from her and meet her in person.
  3. You won’t find a divorce ministry for kids track at any other children’s ministry conference.
  4. It’s cheap.  $20 if you register before November 1 (that includes lunch on Saturday).  It looks like the price goes up to $30 after that (still a deal).  They also offer group discounts if you want to bring your whole ministry team.
  5. I’ll be there, and I’d like to meet you.
  6. I can’t imagine you wanting to go to any workshop not led by yours truly, but there are another 50 plus to choose from on a variety of topics.  It’s ok.  I’ll forgive you.
  7. Baltimore and Philadelphia are both within two hours according to Google Maps.  You have no excuse not to come.

If you are in South-Central or South-Eastern Pennsylvania, you don’t want to miss this conference.  Click here or on the graphic below for more details and to register.
